Take care of your Zalinae dresses so they last for many memorable moments. Below is a guide to caring for the fabrics you'll find in our collection.
Satin & Silk-Blend
Our satin and silk-blend dresses are designed for elegant drape and shine.
- Hand wash cold with mild detergent or dry clean only (check care label)
- Avoid wringing — gently press water out
- Hang dry away from direct sunlight
- Iron on low heat from the inside, with a pressing cloth
Sequin & Embellished
Sequin dresses bring the sparkle but require gentle care.
- Dry clean only — sequins can lose their finish in water
- Store hanging on a padded hanger
- Cover with a garment bag to protect embellishments
- Iron only if necessary, on lowest setting from inside
Lace & Tulle
Romantic and delicate, lace and tulle need careful handling.
- Hand wash cold in a mesh bag, or dry clean
- Use mild detergent designed for delicates
- Lay flat to dry — never hang while wet
- Steam to remove wrinkles (don't iron directly)
Knit & Sweater Dresses
Knits are cozy but can stretch out if not cared for properly.
- Hand wash cold with wool or knit-safe detergent
- Lay flat to dry in original shape — never hang while wet
- Avoid wire hangers — store folded or on padded hangers
- Steam from inside to refresh between wears
Stretch & Bodycon Fabrics
Spandex and elastane blends stretch with you and bounce back.
- Machine wash cold on gentle cycle, inside out
- Use mild detergent — avoid bleach or fabric softener
- Tumble dry low or hang to dry
- Iron on low if needed
Velvet & Velveteen
Plush velvet adds dimension and luxe feel.
- Dry clean only for best results
- Steam to refresh — never iron directly (crushes pile)
- Hang in a garment bag to maintain texture
- Brush gently with a soft velvet brush in one direction
Natural Fibers (Cotton, Linen)
Breathable and easy to care for.
- Machine wash cold or warm
- Tumble dry low or hang dry
- Iron on medium-high heat for crisp finish (linen wrinkles, that's part of the charm)
